Mid-December

Here C and Daddy are partaking in some "nog" as we call it.

Every night I leave my little ones to go tutor or teach. They stay in the back with Daddy:)

We have been working with C on a little potty training. We got him his own fun potty!!
One weekend day, C came running out from his bedroom talking about going swimming. He had put on his own swim diaper... I refrained from putting the front view picture on here...he's going to be pretty mad at me someday!

We finally met "the boyfriend"

...and they look so cute with our kids. We drove up to Dallas this weekend with JuJu to visit S and meet her boyfriend, Haydog. We had such a great time!!! The little ones were pretty good considering:) Here we are at Mia's...
We took Bear for a walk so he could chase the ducks and C could briefly hold his leash.

S and I at the duck lake!!
Everybody at dinner!!
We also went to have lunch with a friend of mine from college and high school. Her little ones are so sweet! Her Sweet Pea was so wonderful to C and especially AM!!
Her Bear is almost 2 months younger than AM, but they are about the same size...they should call him Big Bear...am I right?
We truly enjoyed seeing our friend and this was good practice for our upcoming drive to SC for xmas!! So many great restaurants in Dallas, I can't wait to go back!!!

Nothin' like a day off from work...

Pops kinda sorta had the day off from work on Wed so we went to the park with the kids and pups. We went to the park with the pups and Pops, then the playground.

C found a stick for Glacier...

threw it in the lake ...
and she fetched it out.

Holy Cow...I'm 30!!

AM in action. I think she's trying to tell us something :)

C is doing some cooking. He started with a bowl of peanuts. He moved them from bowl to pan to colander, etc. He stirred them with a spoon. Glacier and Cedar got a couple. When he was done, we had peanut butter...JOKES! But we did have small shards of peanut everywhere.

I told C this was a Christmas tree stand... So, he stood in it...and got stuck. He takes things so literally. Like the time he asked if he could use his hammer to hammer the wall. "NOOOOO!" I screamed. Then I rummaged through his toy box to find the little wooden "H" shaped toy with 8 little plastic pegs sticking up, just waiting to be hammered, and handed it to him. When I turned back around, he was banging on the wall with the wooden toy with the pegs in it... hammer laying on the floor.

38-30? Whoop!

That's right!! The Aggies pull out the victory againist t.u. We couldn't be more proud of those guys...MAN!! We had a day!

We started off with a trip to "Pump it up!" We had a great time because B was able to go...as well as Granny. Granny and C even went down the BIG slide!

AM ONLY wants to stand. She crawls around and finds some way to pull up and then just stands...for LONG periods of time!! She stood here on Granny for about 20 minutes. She is really growing up fast :( ... I'm ready for another :)

AM is just over 8 months old and she can wave... I don't know if that is good, but we are so impressed. Unfortunately, we predict she will be walking in a month and getting into LOTS of trouble...

Pump it up!

We went to this place called "Pump it up" on Fri. They have what I like to call Free-for-all. Not because it doesn't cost anything, but because the kids can do what ever they want..for a small fee. C's friend was a great companion to have because she showed him how to climb, slide and jump his way to a good time!! I may or may not have thoroughly enjoyed myself as well and was glad I was in work out gear because I needed mobility for all the climbing, sliding and jumping :)

Warm days are gone!!

I guess it is time for fall, but I am not happy about it. We went to the park on Wed, the last day the weather was warm. C violently loves pushing AM in the stroller (that is why we had AM).

Of course C likes to go up the slide! He has gotten so much better at climbing!
He climbed all the way up, but then has some trouble getting down. C always wants to go to the playgrounds.

Football season is over :(

We took the kids to the last football game of the season. C and AM really took it all in. C was very hesitant to leave our side. He managed to pull away for the pic with the cheerleaders, but held on to B for dear life when we tried to get him with the mustang mascot.

This is B and C singing the school song:)

Halloween 07

So, for Halloween this year C was a tiger and AM was a monkey. I was...I guess I was myself, but 10 years ago. I even drank a Zima. B started out in a ref shirt, but ended the night as the Big Lebowski with a white Russian and everything:)

"Welcome Home!"

I know, I know...The title of this post should be something witty and spanish like "VIVA Cozumel!" or "Pico, Pico, Pico!", but I am going to tell you ( as I am a seasoned world traveler ;) that there is something special about going through customs to get back into the US and have the agent say "Welcome Home." The pride you feel is quite real.

At any rate, B and I had an AMAZING long weekend in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. We arrived at 11:30ish and got in our Taxi to the PresidenteIntercontinental. We had lunch and then hung out on the beach. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 happy hour from 5-7pm and watched the sun set....This became our evening ritual->Happy Hour, sunset.

Fri was our "Adventure Day". We rented a car and drove to "The Other Side". We started by visiting some Mayan Ruins followed by some lunch on a dive restaurant overlooking the ocean.
El Arco

By dive, I mean roosters walking around.

Coconuts

We found a secluded beach to throw the football and attempt some juggling.
Then, we did a bit of shopping and grabbed some beers at "The Reggae House".

In Hammock with XX

The highlights of Sat were that we took a cab into town for some lunch a "local"ish place. The food was authentic and delicious.
At Las Chozas with XX

The weather was uncooperative the rest of the day and B stayed in bed while I got a massage at the spa. We capped off our weekend with the biggest bowl of guacamole you have ever seen in a bowl made of asphalt(or granite:).

Pumpkins!!

We went to the pumpkin patch with a friend of ours to take some picture and get some pumpkins. The weather has been pleasant...we had the kind of day that make you happy to be alive. The kids even napped at the same time in the afternoon!

C is not very cooperative when it comes to pictures. He always says,"Last time!" and "Done!". Then gets up and runs off :(

We were hanging out on the deck and AM was fascinated by the pine needles:)
