Swim Team

This year we decided to try swim team.  The kids have really excelled:)  It is a huge time commitment as practice is everyday from 4:30-6:30, but it has been fun.  They seem to enjoy it and are noticeably more tired at night.

AM in her new suit from Gramma:)

 AC working her goggles:)
and sporting one of her MANY suits.  She has so many since she gets all the hand me downs!

We are the fighting frog therefore we wear a bunch of green...Here is AM.

We have really only been to one meet...There is a lot of waiting around for your event.  It is all new to me, but you have to be there at 7am to "warm up", but then your event might not be for a couple hours...

CMJ and his goggles:)

We found some ways to entertain ourselves.  C is in a a zen state balancing the foil ball we made on his head...

They even have a little spirit yelling before the swimming begins.

So, as it turns out, AC is very young for swimming in meets.  She was actually the only one in the "tadpoles" class that coach asked to attend the meet.  It took her 7 min 31 seconds to make it the 25 m of the pool.  Which means she shaved a minute or so off her time trials time.  She just holds on the lane rope and puts her head underwater ever foot or so.

It was so sweet at the meet because that's AM trying to help her and tell her what to do.  She was showing her the how to do freestyle.  She is a great big sister:)

Dance Recital 2013

This is AC's first year in dance and she is getting so good:)  Here she is waiting for her performance.

Afterwards, she comes and sits with us.  We were sooooo proud of her...

She was much improved from her Christmas performance:)  She really does have excellent balance.

AM and her BFF from dance:)

4 girls were gone and I think it caused some confusion:(  They did a great job though.

Here is C's dance recital:)

Easter 2013

I know that a slide show would probably be better, but let's be honest...I am lucy I got these up:)

Easter Weekend some friends came for a visit...That added 4 extra kids...which is a birthday party for 3 days basically.

We went with them to an Easter Egg hunt at the church:)

These two are almost 1 year apart, but they were best buddies all weekend:)

 The Family at the hunt.
 The kiddos... minus the baby:)
 They had fun rides too:)

Easter morning Daddy had to work so we had our own private service on Glacier's Bench.  You can see it is a big deal because C but on fancy pants, without having to be bribed...

My phone does these fun panoramic pics...

We went to Granny and Pops for dinner:)

The Big Girl is 6

AM is always fortunate to have like 4 separate celebrations for her birthday:)  First things first however, she lost her 2 bottom teeth and one top one is loose!

Her birthday usually falls on Spring Break so we let her celebrate at school the friday before:)

Then we had a BBQ and there was another small celebration with her buddy that is 2 days older than her.

Then we went to Chuy's with Granny and Pops, but for some reason I forgot to take a picture.  There was a huge pile of princess present on the table when she walked in:)

Finally on her actual birthday we went to Menchi's to celebrate with friends...

It was interesting...but I didn't have to clean my house before and after so that is a plus...She also had a great time.

Gramma and Papa also sent presents that she opened on Sunday:)  She is certainly a big girl with a big heart.  We were playing a game in the car where I would say...."Who is the ...silliest, tallest, skinniest, most stubborn, cleanest, etc...?"  When I asked "Who is the nicest?"  AM said "ME!!" and she is right.  She is so sweet.  She certainly has her moments, but she takes such great care of the her brother and especially her sister.  She is always respectful of others and a little shy.  She does what she is suppose to do and doesn't get in trouble at school or soccer or at home, much:)  She is turning into quite an artist and likes to write her name in cursive.  She always takes pride in her appearance and will gasp at things and say stuff like, "Oh, look at the BEAUTIFUL flower!" or "WHAT an ADORABLE Dog, dress, baby etc!!"

My sister and family came to town.

And we went on walks with the dogs and kids...called them Ninja Walks.

And we played at the park after the kids soccer games...

And we played in the backyard... and with bubbles.

And we played with sidewalk chalk.(thanks Tbone)

And we played lots of electronics:)

And we went out to eat...

And we went on a hike that we again had to call a Ninja Walk and carry weapons...?

And me and my sister played together in my soccer game.  It was very fun...she's still got it!
And I think her husband is warming up to the idea of a dog...or Stella is just warming up to him!
