just some pics

AM loves her dolls...and Barbies!! This one is named Aunt Kerri. She also has Eleanor and a doll named Sally.
I can't wait for 20 years from today when these girls are the best of friends. For now, AM just surrounds AC with a circle of pillows:)

Poor AC always starts squinting when she sees the camera. She doesn't like the flash :)

A new Truck for my Valentine

There is a LONG story that began about a month ago....Once upon a time, about a month ago, I approached B's parents with a crazy idea. An idea so crazy, they of course supported it because they are basically the most supportive parents on earth. I had a dream, a dream that I could secretly buy my husband a truck and give it to him on Valentine's Day.

Things started out pretty well, but my snooping husband accidentally foiled my surprise. Then, I returned from a shopping trip perturbed with a salesman and had to complain about it to B. Needless to say, he got involved. In the end, He and I went this Saturday and got him a GREAT truck. It's the thought that counts right!!

Look at these kids...They easily fit in this truck with plenty of room!!

And look at this guy! He is so happy about his new truck!! I am so happy for him!!

If you are wondering, It is a Ford F150 Lariat Crew Cab, Black exterior and tan leather interior, 5.4L V-8 4x4 with a 6 1/2 ' bed...NICE!!!

Texas Snowballs

C has learned so much at school this year! SOOOOO much! We are stumped sometimes when he is so inquisitive...too inquisitive. "When do we turn into bones?"(Like when we die...)
One thing he brought home was a recipe for these Texas Snowballs. They really are like rice krispy treats, but with popcorn. You have to cover you hands in butter to make the "snowballs"

6T butter
5C mini marshmallows
1/2 C uncooked popcorn...popped

Melt butter and mallows, Then stir in the corn. Roll into Snowballs...you have to really crunch the balls together to get them to stick...

Brian, of course, was not into the sticky hands, but he did love the Texas Snowballs!!

a quick update...

Man, there are really not enough hours in the day!! I haven't been able to blog much because I am all about pictures and haven't had much time to take many pictures. Also, I was lucky enough to get a new Mac for Christmas and have yet to really learn how to us it. I am personally trying to better myself professionally and it has really eaten into my blog time. I took an extra class on top of my already "overload" schedule at work...did I mention it was an online class. This is my first time to teach online. I finished my training over the Christmas break expecting to start teaching online in the Fall, but our college, like most community college is busting at the seams and they need to open another section. Things are going well considering I am also trying to implement some new teaching strategies I learned from my trip to Las Vegas.

B is of course busy at work. The spring semester brings numerous sports along with the other regular obligations and therefore numerous nights on duty. On top of all that, he will occasionally help out fellow colleagues that have other things come up. Luckily, he still enjoys his job and doesn't mind hanging out with all those crazy teens:) We have really been trying to cherish our time together and with our kids at such endearing ages...

C is 4 and so smart. His teacher say that he has come out of his shell this semester and can make really impressive "e's". We are very proud. He definitely has 1st child tendencies with wanting to do things perfect and ALWAYS aims to please. He takes good care of his sisters, although he gives AM a hard time:) His Daddy loves him sooooo much! B just smiles when I mention him.

AM with be 3 in a month...WHAT? Where did our baby girl go? We are still working on being potty trained. She is a stubborn one. Her teachers think she is wonderful. We love how laid back she is. She just goes with the flow! She is so precious and speaks so well aside from her lack of "L's". She is definitely a girl. In B's truck, she only likes the girl country songs. She also FREAKS OUT about bugs. She loves her siblings, but does test the limits!!

AC will be 9 months in a week...look for a post:) She eats almost all baby food. We only give her a bottle in the morning and at night. She sits up great and is ALMOST crawling. I think that she just assume skip it all together and go straight to walking though. She gets so excited when she pulls up to stand. She jumps and jumps! She is different than the other two in that she is attached to us. She get upset if we leave her which is so sweet. Man can she eat... We thought AM ate a lot!!! She loves laughing at her brother and sister. She also sleeps well and can still squeeze in 2 naps:)

It Tues night...10:40 pm. We typically go to be around 11pm+. B is grading NASA assignments and I finished a night of tutoring to watch LOST and spend some time with my husband...us both on out laptops. Life is good:)
