Halloween 08!

Here is how our Halloween went this year. Thursday at school the kids got to dress up and have a little parade through the gym:) See here, C is batman...currently without his mask.

After the parade, C class posed for pictures. The power ranger stole the show!!! So funny!!

Thursday evening, we carved pumpkins with Daddy!!

Then, on Friday night(Halloween), we went Trick or Treating around our street. Notice that C is now Spiderman :) AM is ELMO!!

Pumpkin Patch 08

So, we took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch. By annual, I mean we went last year also.

I tried to get a picture of the kids. See now, they say "Cheese!", but they don't actually smile and look at the camera.

Here is C and I, AM couldn't be bothered. She was in one of her moods where all she says is "NO!" pout, pout, pout, "NO!"
They did like to mess with the pumpkin head scarecrow!

And they did like to play with the spider-filled corn!

Oh yeah!! C had a GREAT soccer game!!! He played goalie the first quarter and then played on the field...by himself...the rest of the game! Now, he didn't kick the ball, but he had a great time running around and we were so proud that he had some independence from us on the field!! We'll see what happens next week!

Pops bought him a big ol' sprinkle cone with chocolate ice cream! Sweet rewards!

Indiana Wedding

This past weekend, we traveled to Indiana for B's cousin's wedding. We had such a great time and were lucky enough to stay at the Matron of Honor's house. C loved this especially because he got to play with his cousin first thing each morning, but it did give us so much more time with family that we don't usually get when we stay at a hotel!

The wedding family!

Our Indiana family!

Look at all Great Grandpa's grandchildren and great grandchildren!

AM had fun sitting with Great Grandpa! She almost fell asleep at one point. He will be 95 this Jan.

Spelunking anyone?

For C's birthday in August, Uncle B-rad and Aunt T-bird got him a SWEET flashlight that you wear on you head. All the kids love it, but AM was pretty funny with it. She loves all accessories, but this one that lights up is special!

C is playing soccer... well, define playing.

Last Friday, C had his first soccer party at CiCi's pizza! Followed Saturday, by his first soccer game. He just turned three, so needless to say, the playing wasn't quite up to par, but all in time, right? Just getting outside and meeting some more kids his age was a good time. We are trying to make it very positive by going to get ice cream after each game. (That may be more for mom than C.)

This weekend, Gramma was in town to take care of me and therefore able to attend his second game. No parent were allowed on the field this weekend, so the coach had some trouble keeping players on the field. In the fourth quarter, the teenage boy referee gave C a "high five" and asked him "Ya gonna kick the ball, bud?" C smiled from ear to ear and he was a different player!!! Don't get too excited. The result of this interaction was that C stayed on the field and chased the mass of kiddos that surrounded the ball. In contrast to the crying running off the field, we were VERY proud!!!
This video was from last weeks game when all the parents were allowed to hold their kids hand...

Oh, but then there was dancing...

Before everyone else got on the floor, the kiddos put on a show!

Here is a C solo!

I mean, he is really breakin' it down right? And all was forgiven:)

Then, C's BFF's b-day party

There was a pinata...C's first. He really enjoyed taking a whack at it. Unfortunately, everyone only got one turn because some future MLB player took its head off!
But then there was delicious candy to hoard and eat.
AM even got herself a lollipop...she still needs to work on not getting so messy or...
she's gonna kill her father. He was not pleased with the state of things :) Geez Dad! Calm Down!
