Vegas Baby!

So, I went to Las Vegas for a math conference! The best part was that my mom went too:) We were just a couple of math teachers hangin' out in sin-city...good times.

Here is the picture from the plane. Turns out Vegas is pretty close to the Grand Canyon...huh?
Here's me and mom on Freemont St. We saw the light show and then went to eat at B&B Ristorante, Mario Batali's restaurant. Here is a couple of my new friends...
My mom wouldn't let me take a good picture of her:) We are walking around in the Venetian here. See the fake sky?

I spend most of my time with my new buddies at these Virtual Black Jack tables. They were very fun and you could yell at the dealer when you got bad cards...

Halloween Weekend 2009

We will start the weekend on Wed because that is when B carved these SWEET pumpkins using the Dremel tool. I think he is going to quit his job and do this full time :)

On Thursday the Halloween fun really began. C and AM got to dress up for school!! C had a parade...He was the red Power Ranger. AM was a princess...shocker! Little AC was a ballerina, I guess.

Sat morning Uncle B-rad and Aunt Net came in for C's soccer game and Halloween of course. AC was a PUMA!!!

Then that night we just went to a few houses on our street. C was now Spiderman and AM was a Princess again, but in a different dress and with a tiara.

OMG!! Look at these angels! They were so cute. I love our house and neighborhood, but I do wish there were more kiddos on our street. They had fun and that is all that matters!!! CANDY!! But not too much, we have been watching Biggest Loser...

Go Owls! Hoot, Hoot!

Last Sunday we ventured into the city for one of B's and my former student athlete's soccer game. This girl is AMAZING!! Not only at soccer, but she is attending RICE with a scholarship...enough said...she's smart ta' boot! We LOVE to go see her play. I like to pretend that I taught her anything about soccer when she played for me and B likes to pretend that he AP-ed her into a fine young woman! We also love hanging out with her parents! They have (almost) successfully raised 3 kids, 2girls and a boy(he is still in HS). We admire them because they still seem to still be truly in love after 3 kiddos! And, their kids are awesome!!!

At any rate, we brought a picnic lunch and ate PBJ's on a bench outside the stadium before the game!

Hopey's mom took some great pictures! Here is Hopey, #18! She had an AMAZING assist to help the owls to a 2-0 victory!! She really contributes...

OH, and there were some pictures of our little ones also!!! AM is too cute for her own good. I think we are just going to lock her in her room when she turns 7... unless she is good at soccer.

On this sunny Sunday, I gave Mr. C some of the 3-D glasses we got at the movie theater...he went with it!!

AC was tired, but she made it through the first half! There is no way that C could have made it this long when he was her age!! She is such an angel. All children should be 3rd children... not that we should get rid of the first two, but the 3rd is pretty easy going. Did that make sense? :)

Tracy Stoesser Photography

IT'S STORY TIME!!

So last year, C got sent to the Principal's office at school. By "principal", I mean the woman that takes our monthly tuition check and deposits it. As you can imagine, when B and I found out about this, we were beside ourselves. Our SON...the son of an Assistant Principal...got in so much trouble that he had to be removed from class. I had visions of little C being marched down a long dark hall with horrible punishments at the end. I just knew he was going to get kicked out. Especially after all the biting incidents when he was in Mother's Day Out. B and I went in to get the full story the following morning. It turned out that C and a fellow classmate were fighting over a toy, a dinosaur if I am not mistaken. Their fighting had gone on in the morning and resulted in some pushing...of they went to the office.

When C told us about it, he said, "Ryan Stoesser, this. Ryan Stoesser, that." I remember thinking that this Ryan Stoesser kid must be some kid of bully to be picking on my little angel. I, of course, came to my senses and knew that C was probably the one at fault as he was going through a possessive phase. The incident left a huge mark on my heart though and later that year, when Ryan Stoesser's family was at the same birthday party, I remember being uncomfortable...The looming elephant at the party...

I met his mom and she was wonderful. We both recalled the day our son got sent to the principal. She said that she too was worried about her son being expelled. She was great! We have since become friends and Ryan Stoesser and C are playing on the same soccer team this season. Tracy Stoesser is team mom:) He will always be Ryan Stoesser to us...not just Ryan. C calls Tracy "Ryan Stoesser's Mom". They are GREAT!!

She has started her own photography company and I wanted to give her a pinch of press! I can't wait to have her take some pictures of our family and my new little AC!! So check out her website and blog at http://www.tracystosser.com/. I put a link up at the top also!! Feel free to tell me what you think. I hope to have a photo shoot outside the first week of November!!!

Pumpkin Patch 2009

Love that our family has this tradition of going to the Pumpkin Patch together! I must say that it is pretty tough trying to get these 3 to EVEN LOOK at the camera at the same time, let alone smile :) BUT, it sure is fun trying!!

We met some friends there, so we were able to get a family shot also...same dilemma though:)

Here is AC..she's a mummy!!
We tried again for a kid picture...

They are so different...

We love our little AM so much. No only because she may be the cutest girl on Earth, but also because she is so special, unique, and different than her older brother. He is relatively neat and likes things "just so". Whereas, AM is not particular and just kinda goes with whatever.

C likes to know exactly what the day has in store for him. I don't blame him with his schedule being different EVERYDAY. He likes to know where he is going, who is picking him up, what he is having for lunch, can he sleep with mommy and daddy tonight, etc...

AM, on the other hand, just kinda shows up where I take her and is excited to be there. It may be her age, but her main concern as of late is merely if she can wear a dress and if she can wear her flip-flops or her princess shoes. She is a princess you see. If she is dancing, she is a Dancing Princess. If she is lifting something, she is a Strong Princess, etc... its adorable :)

This video demonstrates their differences, God Bless 'Em!!
