The Big Girl is 6

AM is always fortunate to have like 4 separate celebrations for her birthday:)  First things first however, she lost her 2 bottom teeth and one top one is loose!

Her birthday usually falls on Spring Break so we let her celebrate at school the friday before:)

Then we had a BBQ and there was another small celebration with her buddy that is 2 days older than her.

Then we went to Chuy's with Granny and Pops, but for some reason I forgot to take a picture.  There was a huge pile of princess present on the table when she walked in:)

Finally on her actual birthday we went to Menchi's to celebrate with friends...

It was interesting...but I didn't have to clean my house before and after so that is a plus...She also had a great time.

Gramma and Papa also sent presents that she opened on Sunday:)  She is certainly a big girl with a big heart.  We were playing a game in the car where I would say...."Who is the ...silliest, tallest, skinniest, most stubborn, cleanest, etc...?"  When I asked "Who is the nicest?"  AM said "ME!!" and she is right.  She is so sweet.  She certainly has her moments, but she takes such great care of the her brother and especially her sister.  She is always respectful of others and a little shy.  She does what she is suppose to do and doesn't get in trouble at school or soccer or at home, much:)  She is turning into quite an artist and likes to write her name in cursive.  She always takes pride in her appearance and will gasp at things and say stuff like, "Oh, look at the BEAUTIFUL flower!" or "WHAT an ADORABLE Dog, dress, baby etc!!"

My sister and family came to town.

And we went on walks with the dogs and kids...called them Ninja Walks.

And we played at the park after the kids soccer games...

And we played in the backyard... and with bubbles.

And we played with sidewalk chalk.(thanks Tbone)

And we played lots of electronics:)

And we went out to eat...

And we went on a hike that we again had to call a Ninja Walk and carry weapons...?

And me and my sister played together in my soccer game.  It was very fun...she's still got it!
And I think her husband is warming up to the idea of a dog...or Stella is just warming up to him!

That doesn't belong here!

I know.  Bear with me.

While in SC we took a small hike around Lake Hartwell.  It was pretty fun and in the spirit of the environment we played a fun game called, "That doesn't belong here."  Wherein we collect all the items around the beach that don't belong on the beach...

Mainly it is just fun to see the kids run around and play.  I remember getting really involved in games that Kerri and I used to make up, so it is fun to see our kiddos doing that:)

Holiday Recap #2- Actual Christmas...at our house!

.

Stella has been forced to snuggle with Cedar since Little Guy got adopted.  I think this one is going to stick!  I think Cedar is starting to love her:)  The pups sure seemed tired after 2 back to back Christmases.  All the excitement can be exhausting...

I banished Pops to the kitchen to put together the My Little Pony Castle:)

Look!  Our first real Christmas dinner...on my new Christmas plates:)  Thanks B!
I wore a dress because it was such a special occasion:)

One of the best things about this Christmas for B and I was something that the elementary school does where the kids are able to purchases gifts to give to their family.  We were so proud of C and AM for not only picking the perfect gifts for us and their siblings, but that they were both soooo excited to give out their gifts.  I think they truly learned how wonderful it is to give!!

Holiday Recap - Christmas #1

We started off by having Christmas at Granny and Pops' on Christmas Eve... B had dropped part of my present on his food and needed to ice it, but I was so entertained when Pops got this out for the ice... so old school

The kids got so many wonderful things...New clothes, fabulous toys, etc...

C got a pitching machine that throws Wiffle balls for him to hit...Pops loved it.

The kids also got some fabulous electronics... like 2 Kindles and a DS.

I had forgotten my camera and only remembered to take one video on my phone...They are pretty good at taking turns!
