"Welcome Home!"
I know, I know...The title of this post should be something witty and spanish like "VIVA Cozumel!" or "Pico, Pico, Pico!", but I am going to tell you ( as I am a seasoned world traveler ;) that there is something special about going through customs to get back into the US and have the agent say "Welcome Home." The pride you feel is quite real.
At any rate, B and I had an AMAZING long weekend in Cozumel, Quintana Roo, Mexico. We arrived at 11:30ish and got in our Taxi to the PresidenteIntercontinental. We had lunch and then hung out on the beach. We took advantage of the 2 for 1 happy hour from 5-7pm and watched the sun set....This became our evening ritual->Happy Hour, sunset.

Fri was our "Adventure Day". We rented a car and drove to "The Other Side". We started by visiting some Mayan Ruins followed by some lunch on a dive restaurant overlooking the ocean.
By dive, I mean roosters walking around.
We found a secluded beach to throw the football and attempt some juggling.
Then, we did a bit of shopping and grabbed some beers at "The Reggae House".
The highlights of Sat were that we took a cab into town for some lunch a "local"ish place. The food was authentic and delicious.
The weather was uncooperative the rest of the day and B stayed in bed while I got a massage at the spa. We capped off our weekend with the biggest bowl of guacamole you have ever seen in a bowl made of asphalt(or granite:).

C is not very cooperative when it comes to pictures. He always says,"Last time!" and "Done!". Then gets up and runs off :(

"It's a letter!"
Last weekend I was fortunate enough to hang out with my family...sans kids. The experience was quite relaxing, but I missed A, B and C terribly!
If Nana and Papa could see these kids now!
In an unrelated video, C is an official member of the "Sticker Club" and now loves getting mail. A friend of ours from college has a 2 year old and invited C to join. Basically, it is an old fashion chain letter...the ones before email. You send some people some stickers and then they send some people some stickers...so on and so fourth...we have more stickers that we know what to do with. Great Grandma also sent AM and C a Halloween Card...HE LOVED IT!!
Okay, I don't usually do this, but I am going to note that most couples are called by the male name and then the female... For example, Sonny and Cher, Brad and Angelina, Regis and Kathylee...etc... One of very few exceptions is my grandparents...NANA and PAPA!!

We're going to the zoo zoo zoo...
How about you you you!! That is a little song c/o Gramma Canadian CD!!
The weather is so wonderful here...for about two weeks:) We took advantage of it and went to the Houston Zoo this weekend. C was so tired that he took a 3 hour nap and then went to bed 1.5 hours later... he's not really a napper:)

C wouldn't actually pet the goats, but he would brush them.
Look at the neck on that turtle!! That's AM in the stroller.
Have you ever seen a tiger swim? That is what C will be for Halloween! Not a swimming tiger, but just a tiger.

GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!
No really...guess! Noooooooo!!

It was so wonderful. We loved it. C even was good on the plane by watching episode after episode of "Dora". AM wasn't perfect on the way out, but she slept for about 1.5 hours on the way back...and she is so cute that it doesn't matter:) It was so great seeing everyone. Charlie will say, " I like James... I love James!" "I like Gramma...I love Gramma!", " I like Papa...I love my Papa!"

C and C!!!
Okay, I will tell you!! Continental ran a special to GSP, so me and kids went to go visit Gramma and Papa!!
C with Papa.
J with Papa!
sweet hat !
I can't believe we were able to ENJOY time on the lake this late in the year. We went out on "Papa's boat" and saw the "sailboats nigh nigh" on the big lake!! It was a GREAT weekend. We even saw Martha and kids!! It's like I am in the picture!!

Red Shirt Day
So Thursday ended up being red shirt day for the kids. B thinks that AM's outfit is out of dress code as well. I think he wants her only in turtlenecks and pants. This is before C's school...
After school, we played in the backyard. The weather is getting nicer here. AM is in her walker on the porch!!

This is AM swinging. I think that she really likes Glacier:) and swinging!!!
This is C going down the slide. He usually just slides down and then runs around to do it again...he usually doesn't fall, but it is kinda funny :)
Did anyone watch "private practice'?
Just wondering...
Today C and I finished his "eco-system". I don't know why we call it that, but we do. We got the idea from a book from Chick-fil-a. (Don't try and make the lemonade...its horrible) At any rate, we went to the local "flower store" and he picked out somethings and we planted them in a big tub. Made a path down the middle for his animals to walk down out of pebbles and there we go...eco-system!

Here is AM! She is so close to crawling...at only 6 1/2 months. C was a real late crawler. She get up on her hands and knee, sometimes even her feet. Also, it seems like she has learned that when she screams, I come running. C has picked up on it as well unfortunately:(
C LOVES to sing. That is actually an understatement. C is fanatical about singing. It is difficult to catch him on camera though. He was quite partial to "Old Mac Donald" today.
